Sydney train pay deal rejected

A new pay deal offered to Sydney, Australia's train employees has been rejected by union members who have voted to go ahead with a 24-hour strike on Monday, 29 January in a move expected to create chaos for travellers and commuters.
Further talks to resolve planned strike action by the Rail, Tram and Bus Union for Sydney, Australia are set to continue, but members will commence an overtime ban on Thursday 25 January that will impact train schedules in NSW.
