Eggers new ASM Global deputy director business development APAC

Tina Eggers (pictured right) has been appointed deputy director of business development at ASM Global (APAC).

The newly-created role will support the business development of ASM Global venues and its operations in the Asia Pacific and Gulf region.
In her new role, Eggers will support ASM Global group director of marketing, Beverley Parker.
Eggers previously worked for Business Events Sydney and at ICC Sydney International Convention Centre as senior manager business development – national.

Borland joins Qatar Air Australia

Wayne Borland (pictured right) has been appointed Qatar Airways country manager for the Australian Eastern market.

Borland's experience includes airlines Etihad Airways, Aircalin, Air New Zealand and American Airlines, where he worked in a variety of management, sales and business development positions, as well as broad industry experience at other companies including Carlson Wagonlit and Movenpick Hotels.

Week 48 saw traffic continuing to decline to 23,809 flights/day, with weather, in particular the very heavy snow at Munich, causing many cancelled flights and diversions, as well as negatively impacting delays and punctuality. Arrival punctuality – the proportion of flights arriving no more than 15 minutes late – dropped sharply to just 67.3 per cent, nine percentage points down on the previous edition of the European Aviation Overview and well below both 2022 and 2019 levels.
