While the industry outlook for airline profits has been revised upward to US$15.1 billion for the current year and next year`s figure also is tipped to be higher at US$9.1 billion, the figures still reflect a `pathetic` margin for carriers at 2.7 per cent this year and 1.5 per cent in 2011.
