Qatar Airways is "pursuing acquisitions" although it has ruled out some of the highest profile airline shares that are on sale today.
The Gulf airline is "actively discussing opportunities" with other passenger carriers, ceo Akbar Al Baker said.
Qatar Airways already has considered and refused deals with carriers including Olympic Airlines and Alitalia.
