FAA issues 'fix' order for B747-8s

The US Federal Aviation Administration has ordered Boeing to implement an immediate fix to the latest version of its B747-8, saying a software problem could cause the type to lose thrust when close to landing.

The rule is the fourth such directive involving the 747-8; Boeing has delivered 66 of the type since October 2011.
