Sofitel Fiji to open Waitui Beach Club in July

Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa will target the adult traveller market  with the July 24 launch of its Waitui Beach Club – a FJ$3.2 million new-build leisure concept designed for adults only(and which also suits conferences and other business meetings).

The Waitui Beach Club will be a dynamic new area with its own pool, champagne bar, restaurant and poolside cabanas.

The new pool area will be accompanied by the introduction of a new accommodation category comprising  74 designated Beach Club rooms in close proximity to and complementing the beach club concept.

Waitui Beach Club will have a focus on health, with complimentary yoga and tai chi in the morning and a healthy breakfast (when a bed and breakfast package is booked).

Other features will include a private, dedicated check-in area, personalised pool butler service, a selection of balanced menus by nutritionist Lucinda Zammit, a 25m lap pool, gymnasium, as well as enhanced room amenities and complimentary sundowner cocktails.

The space can be extended for use by the conference and incentive market, and will become a new stand-alone venue in Fiji - the Adults Only themed beach club will be a flexible meeting and incentive space that can be utilised for conference and leisure groups on special request.

Alan Burrows, general manager Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa said: “The couples and non-family market is on the rise for destination Fiji, and is set to grow even faster both on the mainland and outer Fijian islands.

“With this standalone, specifically designed new product tailor-made for adults of all ages, we hope to appeal to singles travelling with friends, solo travellers, honeymooners or any couple escaping on a mini-break to the Pacific islands.”
