India upgrades MERS screening

Indian authorities have told airports there to screen passengers from 25 countries - especially those coming from the Middle East and South Korea - for Middle East Corona Virus (MERS) and to identify any passengers who self-report symptoms of fever and respiratory distress.

Since 2012, there have been more than 450 confirmed MERS cases and around 36 per cent of patients have died.
