Heathrow pushes ahead with expansion planning

Despite the UK government delaying any final decision on airport expansion in England's south east until late this year, London Heathrow airport ceo John Holland-Kaye says his facility is moving into the delivery phase.

Holland-Kaye claimed Heathrow’s expansion - Heathrow was the UK Airports Commission's preferred airport for an additional runway - would create up to GBP211 billion of economic growth and 190,000 new jobs.

It will now develop a comprehensive procurement strategy for the GBP15.6 billion in private investment required to expand the airport.
