Healthy ‘first’ claimed by Sydney Airport

Sydney-Airport-Lorna-Jane-Active-Living-Room1Australia’s Sydney Airport is claiming a global first with the opening of a dedicated airport space for passengers to enjoy a yoga or strength session, a place to stretch or a nourishing snack before boarding their flight or after arriving at the airport.

The newly-opened Lorna Jane Active Living Room promotes the daily practice of Move, Nourish and Believe.

Lorna Jane Active Living Rewards Members can enjoy free access to the living room area while guests of the lounge can also experience the latest in healthy treats from health food providers.

Sydney Airport general manager Retail Glyn Williams said the new offering forms part of the refreshed T2 Domestic terminal and directly addresses customer feedback and the changing needs of the modern traveller.

“The Lorna Jane Active Living Room is a global airport first for Sydney Airport and the unique health and wellbeing offering forms part of our wider improvements program designed to create an enhanced airport experience for passengers. The new space affords our passengers an opportunity to experience a greater sense of wellbeing within the airport environment,” said Williams.

Yoga and pilates classes will run for 45 minutes Monday to Friday. Cost of classes is A$12.00.
