Philbeauty set for July

Philbeauty, a beauty trade show in the Philippines will be staged from Wednesday to Friday, 08 - 10 July at the SMX Convention Centre in Pasay City.

Organisers of the event, UBM ASEAN say they expect to host more than 200 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions, including mainland China , Japan, India , Indonesia, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Malaysia.

"Philbeauty includes an international beauty conference, live demonstrations, cocktail party and on-stage event,” said Anna-Marie Anastacio, president of the Chamber of Cosmetics Industry of the Philippines.

During three days of face-to-face meetings  Philbeauty will showcase  a comprehensive range of beauty products, services and technologies.

Beauty and personal care sales are expected to grow by 6.1 per cent this year and to continue its growth trajectory, reaching US$3.4bn by next year. "The beauty trade industry in the Philippines will be one of the prime sources to drive the economic growth in the country forward," said Rafaelita Aldaba, group assistant secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry.
