TNQ cash prize for best tourism film

The search is on for 10 global travellers to capture the beauty of Tropical North Queensland (TNQ) as part of a new tourism campaign called Paradise Through Your Lens.

The campaign aims to grow tourism and create jobs in North Queensland.

Queensland minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games, Jann Stuckey, said: “A world-wide competition will uncover 10 candidates who will be brought to the region and tasked with creating short films about their experiences, the natural attractions and indigenous culture,” said Stuckey.

“Following the visits, films will be judged and the person with the most compelling story will win a prize valued at AUD$20,000.

“To be in the running to become one of 10 TNQ filmmakers, online applications can be submitted on ExploreTNQ.com.au 

Entries close at midnight Sunday 21 December.
