P&O Cruises has renamed its latest ships Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden.
Australia’s Port Macquarie artist Chloe Dickey unveiled the names in a mural raked into the sands of Sydney's Bondi Beach.
A spokesperson for P&O Cruises said while it had offered many ideas, the two chosen names stood out from the field as they had a contemporary feel that reflected the ‘blissful and indulgent spirit of a P&O Cruise’ holiday at sea.
The two vessels previously were known as Holland America Line ships ms Ryndam and ms Statendam.
