Indonesia moves to boost MICE by 10pc

Indonesia's Tourism Ministry is supporting the new International Banking Conference (IBC) in Bali to push for an increase in meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) in the country.


“We are targeting 10 per cent growth in the MICE industry by 2019,” said a Ministry spokesperson. “That effort has to begin now.”


According to data from the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) in 2014 Indonesia was ranked 42nd in the world.
