United, American tipped to offer more 'no frills' tickets

US industry analysts say they expect United and American Airlines to offer more low-price tickets as they attempt to compete better with low cost carriers (LCCs).
The tickets may restrict passenger rights to cancel, change or seek refunds.
The strategy isn't guaranteed to work, however, as some commentators point out there's a group of passengers who always will opt for higher-priced tickets with full options.
