HNA to buy a share of TAP

China's aviation/tourism firm HNA says it will buy up to 20 per cent of Portugal's national airline TAP, starting with a seven per cent stake of Atlantic Gateway, the private consortium that owns half of TAP.


The acquisition of TAP shares could come in the next three months.


The Portuguese government, meanwhile, has lifted its stake in the company to 50 per cent from 39 per cent.
