Transport fair a strong partnership

MHI, ITE and Messe München have joined forces to manage a new trade fair for transportation and logistics being run in tandem with Modex in Atlanta in 2018.

Both events will take place April 09-12, 2018 at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Centre in the USA.

Modex is sponsored by MHI and is the largest manufacturing and supply chain expo held in North and South America with over 800 exhibitors covering over 250,000 square feet and a conference of over 100 sessions.

MHI intends to further expand its event more into the areas of external logistics. To help facilitate this, MHI is partnering with ITE Group, known for Breakbulk and Messe München, known for its transport logistics exhibition brand. ITE and Messe München will host the co-located Transportation & Logistics Americas independently of Modex.

“The decision to co-locate Modex 2018 and TLA was made for several reasons,” said George Prest, chief executive for MHI. “The co-location will allow manufacturing and supply chain professionals the opportunity to take advantage of education and networking opportunities as well as exposure to the largest equipment and technology display of any show of its kind in the Americas. In today’s world where agile and innovative supply chains are a requirement, the co-location represents a win-win for exhibitors and attendees."

“Both events provide excellent synergies as the two areas of supply chain and logistics present themselves jointly in the future,” said Laurent Noel, industry director of ITE.
“Co-locating with the well-established Modex event offers TLA exhibitors an excellent venue to showcase their services.”
