Lufthansa to boost Nairobi services

Germany's Lufthansa is to boost services on its Nairobi-Frankfurt route using a wide-bodied Airbus A340-300 four times a week from September, up from the current three weekly flights.


Lufthansa general manager Kenya and Ethiopia Tobias Ernst said demand has been rising in the nearly nine month period since resumption of services (after 18 years away).


Demand includes corporate and leisure travellers, family visitors, Kenyans, missionaries, humanitarian sector personnel, diplomats and others, Ernst said.
