Nice and Lyon airports buyer decisions closer

The French airports of Nice and Lyon are approaching the July 4 deadline for firm 'buy' offers, expected to yield up to EUR1.5 billion for the government.


Eight companies or consortia have bid for each airport.


For Nice, they are: Italy’s Atlantia/EDF Invest; a consortium of Ardian, Siparex, Caisses d’Epargne and JCDecaux; Industry Fund Management (IFM); Spain’s Ferrovial/Meridiam; a consortium of Vinci, CDC and Predica; Turkey’s Limak; Germany’s Allianz/Global Infrastructure Partners; and Zurich airport/Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board.


For Lyon, the bidders are Ardian-Siparex-Caisses d’Epargne-JCDecaux; IFM; Ferrovial-Meridiam; Vinci-CDC-Predica; Limak; Atlantia; the Cube fund/Geneva airport; and Macquarie/FFP.
