Boy admits cyber attacks, denies aircraft bomb hoaxes

A UK schoolboy who launched world-wide cyber attacks on web sites as part of a campaign for animal rights has told a court he was not also responsible for hoax airline bomb threats, despite earlier admitting the charge.

The 16-year-old boy’s cyber attack targets were SeaWorld Orlando in Florida and a town in Japan where dolphin hunting takes place.

But he denied sending tweets to two USA airlines - American and Delta - claiming bombs were on board their planes.

Giving evidence, the youth said he carried out cyber-attacks because he supports animal rights.

The judge will deliver a verdict on the bomb hoax charges in July.
