SIBS opens for nauti business

The Sydney International Boat Show (SIBS) 2016 drops anchor on Thursday 28 July and runs through to 01 August in two locations. Organisers say pre-event sales are strong and more than 200 exhibitors will be in their show berths at Cockle Bay Marina in Darling Harbour and on the 20,000m2 show floor at Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island (SEC @GI).

The large on-water luxury vessels will be hosted at Darling Harbour while trailer boats and associated gear will be on display undercover at Glebe Island.
Once again, a free ferry service connects the two locations.

Leading brands and manufacturers and a host of maritime businesses serving the boating community are returning to the Boat Show, as well as the popular Boating Safety Zone and the purpose-built wharfside Life Jacket Lounge. Late night hours of up to 19.00 hrs on Friday and Saturday will give boating enthusiasts more time to browse and buy.

As organiser of the event, the Boating Industry Association (BIA) is going all out once more to offer visitors a multi-faceted maritime experience. “The Boat Show is on its 49th year – we’re drawing on decades of experience to showcase the boating lifestyle and deliver knowledge, inspiration, a lot of education, and entertainment,” said Howard Glenn, chief executive of the Boating Industry Association.
