Indonesia makes entry easier for 169 countries

Indonesia has moved to simplify travel procedures by granting visa-free status to citizens of 169 countries.

The visa-free policy is valid for a maximum stay of 30 days, has no restriction on the number of visits per year, but cannot be extended or converted to any other stay permit. Nationals of visa-free countries can enter Indonesia through any of the country’s 124 immigration check points.

Research by the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) and WTTC shows that visa facilitation in the ASEAN economies could create between 333,000 and 654,000 new jobs in three years.
