Jennifer Dwyer Slee (pictured right) has been appointed director of Sales and Marketing at Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia, effective 22 August 2016. 
She previously was in a similar role with Canberra’s National Convention Centre.


She has won a number of awards during her career, including most recently a Lifetime Award from the Professional Conference Organisers (PCO) Association for ‘Support, Encouragement and Mentoring to the Business Events Sector in Australia’.


One of only eight Australians to be awarded the title, she was the first person who is a professional from the wider industry sector and not a PCO.


Prior to this, she served in a number of leadership roles at Starwood, Park Lane, Orient Express and Accor. More recently Dwyer Slee was also deputy chair – Destination Marketing & Visitor Experience Sub Committee of the Tourism Industry Advisory Council for the Canberra Business Chamber.
