Ryanair tops passenger numbers

Irish budget carrier Ryanair says International Air Transport Association (IATA) data shows it's the top international carrier by passengers carried.


The Irish budget airline’s 2015 performance (101.4 million) was almost 40 million more than second-placed easyJet (on 62.6 million) and 55 million more than Lufthansa in fourth (46.9 million).


Ryanair spokesman Robin Kiely said: “Customers can look forward to more new routes, new digital features, new cabin interiors and even more low fares, as we carry more than 117 million customers this year.”
