Oz Comic-Con to say goodbye SEC@GI on 11 September

Oz Comic-Con returns to Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island (SEC@GI) for the last time 10-11 September.

Australia’s  pop culture event  is the fitting public show finale at the harbourside venue. SEC@GI is progressively wrapping up its events calendar ahead of the opening of International Convention Centre (ICC Sydney) in December 2016.

The multi-genre annual event will transform Glebe Island for fans of science fiction, horror, fantasy novels, Disney, anime, manga, toys, web comics, collectible card games as well as video games.

The event continues to offer the complete convention scene: Comics, games, tokens, collectibles and hard-to-find merchandise; an event-crammed program including workshops and panel discussions; film screenings; an autograph area; games; competitions and cosplay fashion shows, all set across the venue’s full footprint.

“Since our first Oz Comic-Con event, we have gone all out to please our passionate fan communities by producing exceptional experiences for them,” said Reed Exhibitions Australia group director – Operations Stephen Steenson.

This year’s star power will come from Karl Urban aka ‘Bones’ in the Star Trek reboot movies, Kate Sackhoff from Battlestar Galactica,  the Carver Twins, the cast of Supernatural, Daniel Portman and Ksenia Solo from Game of Thrones, Robert Englund aka Freddy Krueger and X Files’ Mitch Pileggi, the voice of Super Mario.

In 2017 Oz Comic-Con will be held at ICC Sydney.
