Malaysia Airlines hands over MH370 documents

Malaysia Airlines has agreed to hand over almost all of the documents it holds concerning the missing flight MH370.

Documents include crew medical certificates, operational notes, procedures and the flight plan.

The surprise development emerged during a Federal Court Directions Hearing in Sydney, Australia in a compensation case involving the adult children of four MH370 passengers — Rod and Mary Burrows, and Bob and Cathy Lawton.

The court action is against Malaysia Airlines and the lead insurer, global aviation insurance firm Allianz.

For all of the families, it will be their first opportunity to inspect the former Malaysia Airlines' business.

It is not yet known whether the documents will be made public.
