Lowest bids will win India's new regional routes

India's union government plans to double the number of airports in the country over the next few years from the current 75.
The government is asking airlines to bid for regional routes providing connectivity to major airports.
Airlines making the lowest bids will be awarded the routes, a spokesman said.
