CIBS changes to improve participants’ RoI

The 22nd edition of the China (Shanghai) International Boat Show (CIBS 2017) will make its debut at its new location, the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, 26-29 April 2017.

Organised by the China Boat Industry and Trade Association (CBITA) CIBS is claimed to be the longest-running and most comprehensive boating event in China. Some 40,000 marine industry leaders and enthusiasts from over 50 countries are expected to attend the event.

New to CIBS will be the first business match-making service where buyers will be able to meet with suppliers on site through a pre-scheduled appointment system.
Another addition will be the launch of the ‘Super yacht Showcase’ featuring new designs and innovative technology from the finest super yacht manufacturers.
CIBS 2017 will also see the return of an educational program with sessions led by industry experts covering trends, insights and developments that are shaping the maritime industry.

"No other event on the boating calendar in the region offers such unparalleled business-to-business opportunities," said Eunice Weng, deputy general manager, Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo. "Our business match-making program, networking events and our move to a bigger venue reasserts our commitment to our exhibitors and our buyers to ensure they receive the maximum RoI."

CIBS will be held alongside Hotel Plus, a mega show to be inaugurated next year for hotels and commercial properties. CIBS will be open to the public on 29 April 2017.
