Baggage handlers arrested on drugs charges

Three London, UK Heathrow Airport baggage handlers are among 11 people arrested on suspicion of drug smuggling.


The baggage handlers are suspected of smuggling millions of pounds worth of cocaine through the airport.


The  others detained include some with alleged links to drugs barons in South America and alleged British 'wholesalers' responsible for selling the drugs to street dealers.


In the past 15 months, police have seized about 100kgs of cocaine with a street value of GBP10 million plus about 50 kgs of cannabis at Heathrow.


Most of the drugs were flown from Brazil.
