ANA to take control of Peach

Japan's ANA Holdings is taking a controlling share of Peach Aviation as it works to improve its share of budget air travel sales.

ANA, parent of All Nippon Airways (ANA) will spend JPY30.4 billion to buy shares from Peach's two other investors to bring its shareholding to 67 per cent.

Currently, ANA has 38.7 per cent of Peach shares, while Hong Kong investment company First Eastern Aviation Holdings owns 33.3 per cent and the Innovation Network of Japan fund has 28.0 per cent. ANA is expected to buy about half of each group's shares.
