Honeywell system to control Changi lighting

IT firm Honeywell has won a multi-million-dollar, multi-year contract for a new airfield ground lighting control and monitoring system at Singapore's Changi Airport.

The lighting project is part of expansion efforts at Changi including a three-runway system.

The new lighting will go into all three runways and associated taxiways, taxi lanes and apron lighting as well as facility control and management.

The airport will have real-time information on approach and runway lighting lamp failures to facilitate fast response and repair.
