Urumqi to become LCC

The HNA Group subsidiary Urumqi Airlines is to transition to a low cost carrier (LCC) from July 16.
Urumqi operates a fleet of nine Boeing 737-800s to more than 18 destinations and as part of its LCC transition, will stop serving complimentary meals and will charge for checked bags. 
The airline says it expects to offer fares five-to-12 per cent lower than average.
