Mark Jennings-Bates, the vice president of Sales at Netherlands-based PAL-V International, plans to become the first person to circumnavigate the globe in a flying car.

The flight will travel from and back to San Francisco, with a second pilot in a second car to film the first.

 

Fuel will be the biggest test. PAL-V’s vehicle, called the Liberty, has a range of 1,315 km in driving mode and 499 km when flying.
