Transpacific yield at US$010.69 cents

The US Air Transport Association says US carriers’ passenger yield on transpacific flights was down 17.8 per cent to US$10.69 cents per mile year-on-year in October.

Average US domestic yield was down 12.9 per cent to US$13.68 cents, while in other international markets yield fell 14.4 per cent to US$11.63 cents on transatlantic flights and dropped 17.3 per cent on flights to/from Latin America to US$12.8 cents.


The number of passengers carried dipped three per cent in October while the average price to fly one mile decreased 13.5 per cent.
