Trio produce Tokyo Bay MICE brochure

Japan’s Chiba Convention Bureau, Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Yokohama Convention and Visitors Bureau have collaborated to produce the first area brochure for meeting and incentive tours in the Tokyo Bay area.

The brochure provides general information in English on the region as a one-stop destination with the aim of appealing to planners and tour operators based in Europe, North America and Asia.

The full-colour, eight-page brochure features attractions for visitors as well as advice on how best to hold events in Japan. The map and photos show the area’s major convention centres, unique venues and places of interest.

Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) statistics show that the Tokyo Bay Area has hosted around one third of all international conferences held in Japan over the past 10 years.

By publishing the brochure together, the three bureaux hope to attract more conventions to the area.
The brochure will be distributed free of charge to overseas planners as a sales and marketing tool. It is available at JNTO offices as well as major tradeshows (including EIBTM in Barcelona, IME in Tokyo, AIME in Melbourne, IMEX in Frankfurt, MPI-WEC in Vancouver and IT&CMA in Bangkok).
