Jetstar to fly Adelaide-Whitsundays direct

Australia's Jetstar will from 1 September 2024 launch a new three-times-weekly domestic route between Adelaide in South Australia and Whitsunday Coast Airport.

The Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday service will offer more than 58,000 seats a year.

Jetstar's Jenn Armor said Adelaide to Whitsundays will be the low-cost carrier's 99th domestic route in Australia.

"For the first time ever, flying between these two destinations will take just under three hours, continuing Jetstar's mission to make travel more accessible with great low fares," she said.

A short fare sale on Jetstar.com that ends 29 February will see seats sold for A$99 one way.
