Ryanair threatens to exit Bordeaux

Budget Irish airline Ryanair claims the Bordeaux-Mérignac airport in south-west France wants to double its fees and as a result, it's prepared 'to walk away' from the airport with the loss of 120 jobs.

Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary told media: “The airport wants to double our charges, and we don't want to pay for that.”

The airport denied O’Leary’s claims, saying that his reports of a “doubling” in airport fees is “completely erroneous”.
