JAL to launch Boston route

Japan's Japan Airlines (JAL) is to launch a new route between Tokyo's Narita International Airport and Boston Logan International Airport, USA from April 22, 2012.

The route will be code-shared with partner American Airlines.

The airline also has confirmed it intends to operate its new Boeing 787-8 configured with business and economy class cabins on the Boston route. JAL/American will be the only carriers to directly link Asia and Boston with nonstop services.

The schedule will be four times a week initially, rising to daily from June 1, 2012.
