Japan Airlines (JAL) is adding three new Boeing 767-300ER freighters and "will tie up with logistics partners" to target the international e-commerce market. Yuji Saito, JAL cfo, said it hopes to benefit from new government regulations that limit the number of hours Japanese truck drivers can operate.

UAE flag carrier Etihad Cargo has introduced weekly B747 freighter flights to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport in China from Abu Dhabi, meaning it now operates 10 freighter services to the country and gives customers even more via SF Airlines’ road feeder service trucking network. The airline also operates five weekly passenger flights to Shanghai, Beijing Daxing and Guangzhou.
