Ethiopian leases second MD11F

Ethiopian Airlines has leased a second MD-11 freighter aircraft from Boeing, adding some 23 per cent to the carrier’s cargo capacity. Ethiopian now has a total of six dedicated cargo planes consisting of two B757-200s, two B747-200s and two MD-11Fs.

Air France to cut 1500 jobs

European carrier Air France plans to cut around 1,500 jobs – mainly in the air cargo area - through a voluntary job loss plan as it cuts cargo capacity by 15 per cent and passenger capacity by five per cent.  It will give its employees details of the plan on October  21, the company says.
