The United States and Brazil have inked a deal to provide a near 50 per cent increase in passenger flights between the two countries as well as eliminate restrictions on the number of airlines that can provide US - Brazil air service.

Cathay Pacific pleads guilty to US price fixing charges

Cathay Pacific Airways says it has entered into a plea agreement with the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) in connection with its ongoing investigation relating to air cargo services of a number of carriers involved in the international air cargo industry.  Under the agreement, Cathay Pacific has agreed to plead guilty to a one-count violation of the United States Sherman Act relating to its air cargo business and to pay a fine of US$60 million.

Work has begun on a new freight centre in CargoCity South at Frankfurt Airport. The new Lufthansa Cargo Service Centre, with warehouse capacity of about 20,000 square metres and more than 8,000 square metres of office space, will augment a similar facility at CargoCity North.
