Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) has confirmed David Hidalgo Ayala (right) as its new show director for ICOMEX and Event Production Forum for the Reed Exhibitions Mexico Portfolio.
Prior to joining Reed, Ayala was general director of Yucatan Convention and Visitors Bureau, where he was the strategy leader in charge of promoting Yucatan as a destination for meetings and attracting new congresses, conventions, exhibitions and corporate events.
Sallie Coventry, portfolio director for ibtm Global Events Portfolio (UK), Reed Exhibitions said: “His knowledge and industry reputation will go a long way towards helping us develop this event and as a consequence, the meetings industry in Latin America.”
ICOMEX is a show for incentives, congresses and conventions in Latin America where the industry’s suppliers and buyers meet for two days of business, networking and education.
The event runs a Hosted Buyer program for buyers and offers one-on-one business appointments for exhibitors.
