Taiwan's Mandarin Airlines is scheduled to launch its first Kaohsiung-Seoul, Korea direct charter flight at the end of the month and begin regular scheduled service on the route in December. Mandarin will be the only airline currently flying the route after Taiwan's Uni Air cancelled services.

Australian airline Qantas has entered a 'Deed of Settlement' with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) to settle its liability in Australia resulting from price fixing conduct within its Freight Division and agreed to pay a fine of A$20 million.

Deutsche Post is to cut back subsidiary DHL’s express delivery business in the United States, even ahead of its proposed well-publicised tie up with UPS.
In the face of a slowdown in consumer and business demand, Deutsche Post said it was cutting its US ground network capacity 30 per cent faster than previously planned.

Germany-based parcels and courier firm DHL says it has chartered air-cargo capacity between Asian and US destinations from US air-freight operator Polar Air Cargo. The flights will give connections to eight cities using six Boeing air-freighters and improve DHL’s intercontinental network, it says.
