Lufthansa Cargo Charter Agency achieved a record result for the 2005 financial year. With a gross income of 86 million Euros, the charter broker was able to increase its business volume by a whopping 51 per cent compared to the previous year.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) reports international passenger traffic grew by 6.8 per cent and international freight traffic by 5.4 per cent in February. The year-to-date passenger traffic growth of 6.4 per cent is in line with industry projections of 6.5 per cent growth in 2006. International freight traffic grew by 5.3 per cent for the first two months of the year after a period of volatility and weakness in 2005.
