A new cargo route between Korea and the US is expected to improve transport services for not only cargo originating or destined for southeastern US, but for in-transit cargo between Asia and Latin America.  The twice-weekly B747-400 freighter services begun last week by Korean Air, operates between Seoul and Miami.

In a shock move, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) is understood to have told the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) it will not challenge any rulings emerging from the current investigation by the ACCC into IATA business practices and immunities, including the Cargo Accounts Settlement System (CASS).
