Full-year 2008 traffic figures released by IATA show that for cargo, all regions except the Middle East reported declining traffic in 2008. The fall was steepest in Latin America, where airfreight traffic sank 13.5 per cent, followed by a 6.6 per cent drop in Asia/Pacific, 2.8 per cent in Europe, 2.5 per cent in Africa and 1.9 per cent in North America.
