Kuwait air traffic in December was up four per cent, with the number of arriving and departing flights reaching 7,772 flights compared to 7,455 in the same month in 2007, but air freight traffic going in and out of Kuwait International Airport fell nine per cent to 13.6 million kilograms, official figures show.

Finnair announces layoffs

Finnish airline Finnair will make more than 120 employees redundant across cargo, technology, management, and catering. Customer service personnel will not be affected. It also will temporarily lay off more than 3,000 people for periods of between two and three weeks and 400 fixed term contracts that expire this year will not be renewed.
