Sisca Tedjokusumo has been appointed national product development manager for GSA Australia. Ms Tedjokusumo, who will be based in Sydney, will be responsible for MASkargo.
Paul Jacobson has resigned as New South Wales sales manager for ACP Worldwide. A replacement for Jacobson is expected to be announced soon.

CHINA EASTERN ADDS FIFTH FREQUENCY TO UK

China Eastern Airlines will add a fifth frequency direct from Shanghai Pudong into London Heathrow Airport from 26 March. Flight Number: MU552 – London to Shanghai will operate on Sundays. Days of operation are now Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

Troubled Malaysia Airlines will cease operating to seven international routes by June in a bid to reduce losses and return to profitability. The carrier will no longer fly from Kuala Lumpur to Manchester and Vienna, Ahmedabad and Kolkata in India, Xian in China and Padang in Indonesia.

Patrick Air Services, still puzzled at the shock loss of Thai International handling to rival CTO Menzies Aviation, was all smiles again pleased today with the confirmation that United Airlines (UA) had extended its contract for ramp handling to include passenger and cargo handling in Melbourne and Sydney effective 01 May. "This compliments the work we already do for Singapore Airlines (SQ) on the passenger and ramp side," said Nigel Blow, commercial and marketing manager for Patrick Air Services.

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has extended its exclusive worldwide general sales agency agreement with Globe Air Cargo, part of the European Cargo Services (ECS) group.The new agreement, signed in Kiev by Richard Creagh, deputy president of Ukraine International Airlines and Guy Tordjman, president of ECS, sees Globe agree to exclusively sell the airline’s cargo capacity on all of its passenger and all-cargo flights into Kiev.
