Air France group figures slump

Europe’s Air France-KLM has posted a fiscal-fourth-quarter net loss of EUR505 million. Revenue for the period fell 12 per cent to EUR5.01 billion and operating loss for the quarter amounted to EUR574 million, compared to a loss of EUR37 million a year earlier.

China Airlines sees black ink ahead

Taiwan’s China Airlines says its additional Chinese services will help it back into the black, even if crude oil prices hit US$60 a barrel.  It hopes the extra Chinese traffic will end a run of six unprofitable quarters made worse by fuel-hedging losses and slowing cargo and passenger demand.
