Suspicious package closes Perth Airport

Italian media group Il Sole 24 Ore says it understands the Italian government has repulsed a bid of one billion Euros for Alitalia from Brazilian investment fund Multi-Long Corporation.
The fund specialises in restructuring troubled companies.

Masayoshi Dobashi, president of the Japan Aircargo Forwarders Association (JAFA), died suddenly 01 May. JAFA last week hosted the Executive Council Meeting and AGM of the Federation of Asia Pacific Air Cargo Associations (FAPAA) in Tokyo. Brian Lovell, secretary general of FAPAA, said he was shocked to hear the news of Mr Dobashi’s death. “Only last week, we attended the FAPAA meeting in Tokyo and Mr Dobashi was an active and congenial host,” said Lovell. “Our heartfelt condolences go to his family and colleagues."
