Kata crash kills all aboard

A Sudanese Kata Air Transport AN-32 cargo plane crashed Saturday night at Chisinau International airport, Sudan. Of the eight crew members on board, seven bodies were recovered by Sunday morning.

The Thai government has endorsed five new strategies to improve the economy of its southern border provinces. Deputy Government spokesman Suparat Nakbunnam said the province of Satun will be developed as a centre for domestic and international cargo transport; Songkhla into a global hub for rubber plantations, international education, tourism and sports; Pattani into a centre for international Islamic studies and the halal food industry; Yala will be a centre for agricultural production and Narathiwat will be developed as a centre connecting with Malaysia's eastern economic zone.
